Lake Carina, the First Time – continued

What made this trip memorable was the look of the snow that remained on the beach. Sculpted by wind and sun, it was scalloped, and scooped in nearly geometric shapes.

And finally, I know you’ve all been waiting for this, the photo I posted on Daily Shoot, an image that showed the cultural tradition or flavor of my area. Here it is:carina 110219-IMG_7410

It is the juxtaposition of organic and technology, the natural and the manmade, the forest preserve and the electric towers, existing side by side, separate but together. I thought it summed up Lake County nicely.

Might be better in summer, though…or maybe the green would be too much?
