I saw her, she saw me. I don’t know who was more surprised!

By the time I’d got my camera up, she’d turned and jumped away, dashing back into a tunnel silenced by snow.

It made for interesting reflections, as well, with high contrasts over dark water.

I’m glad I got out that day. Today it was well over freezing with rain, tamping down the snow and washing the trees clear.

Will we have another this year? Who’s to say. I got these shots, though, and that’s a good thing!
